Wild Heerbrugg T3 Military versionTheodolite With 3 Eyepieces and user manual ( CD )
Surveying Instrument Collection
Telescope Length 265 mm, Height 350 mm
This high precision micrometer theodolite is used mainly for angle measurement in first-order and second-order triangulation networks, deformation surveys, geodetic astronomy and machine tooling applications. It may be referred to as a Geodetic Theodolite, which is the most precise form of theodolite and is larger and more accurate than the Wild T2 theodolite (also included in the collection). The telescope produces an inverted image, having a length of 265mm, a clear objective aperture of 60mm and a shortest allowable focusing distance of 4 metres. The bubble sensitivity of the plate level and the index level per 2 mm is 6" and 12" respectively and the setting accuracy of the index level is ±0.5". The instrument also features extra-large glass circles for maximum graduation accuracy, with a horizontal circle diameter of 135 mm and a vertical circle diameter of 90 mm. The coincidence micrometer (2 parallel plates) permits direct reading of the circles to 0.2" and estimated to 0.1".
The theodolite also features a detachable base plate for forced-centring with Wild tribrach equipment and a ball-centring device for deformation measurements.
There is no historical information available.
Good, well preserved come with user manual (( CD )) and three eyepieces 24 - 30 -40 .
* The instrument has a weight of 11.2 kg
