This prototype has several upgrades not found on the standard machine:
1.) Direct drive with gear reduction has eliminated belt slippage and reduced cycle times.
2.) Custom hopper allows pre-filling of product reducing time between cycles.
3.) With an cycle time of 8 minutes to freeze, 1 minute to blend, and 2 minutes to discharge, five batches can be run per hour with a little time to spare. This machine can run aprox. 24 gallons per hour of finished product wich not only exceeds the C303 continuous batch freezer in capacity but unlike the continuous flow machines allows for the addition of fresh fruits, nuts and other flavoring additives while operating.
4.) Althoug listed as used this prototype was run to test capacity and tune the settings, with only six batches being run the machine is in A-1 condition (no production run time).
5.) The elctronic controls of this machine are understated being simple to use and providing a degree of control over texture, temperature, time, and degree of overrun not seen in lesser machines. Single button programable presets make repeating your sucess very simple.
6.) Becasue of direct drive and enhanced gearing this machine freezes product cold enough to dip directly after discharge.
7.) An unmodified Ross machine starts around $24,000.00, and one modified to this standard would start at $28,000.00
