Because so many Haas machines in the field are equipped with brush-type 4th-axis drives, the standard configuration for Haas rotary tables and indexers is with DC brush-style motors. These products deliver a level of accuracy, precision and smooth motion unmatched in their price range, but are designed for use primarily on existing machines with brush-style 4th-axis drives. There are two ways to order Haas rotary products: with a servo control unit or without. The CNC versions of Haas rotary products DO NOT include a programmable servo control. These units are designed for use on Haas mills with built-in 4th-axis drives. These rotary products are programmed via the mill’s control and provide true 4th-axis capabilities. (The 4th-axis drive and wiring are purchased separately as a control option for the Haas mill.) For direct control on machines other than Haas, some Haas rotary products may be ordered with servomotors that are compatible with the other machine (Fanuc, Yasnac and others).
