Black Brothers Glue Spreader Roll Coater This listing is for a glue spreader in good working condition. This heavy duty glue roll coater is manufactured by the industry leading Black Brothers company. The coating rolls are 62.5" wide. This is a top and bottom coater; both sets of rolls have nip adjustments. The thickness of the material being coated is set with a air motor that moves the entire bottom set of rollers up or down. Coating speed of the machine is controlled with a Reeves Vari-Speed drive. The vari-drive has a 3 phase 220/440 1.5HP motor driving it. We lubed the grease fittings, powered up the drive motor and applied air to the thickness air motor and everything worked. The drive varies the speed very well and everything sounds good. The condition of the chrome doctor / meter rolls is very good. The rubber applicator rolls are in fair condition as seen from the photos. Overall this machine is in very good mechanical condition, with the sprockets and chains tight, the bearings smooth and the drive system sounding good.
