This unit was part of a complete cable manufactuing line and is being offered as a self-contained pinhole tester. The tester is a quality control item which provides a final function test to cable insulation. This unit utilizes current limited hi-pot (spark tester) device to sense electrical breakdown through any flaws in the cable. The sensing elements are conforming rollers that bear on the cable, positioned as to provide the same sensitivity to all surfaces of the cable.
