OSTER Landis Model 8R Pipe Threader 2 1/2 to 8 Inch Manufactured by The Oster Mfg. Co. - Cleveland, OH This unit was purchased from Teledyne Landis, as a $50,000 factory rebuild, by the City of Kalamazoo (MI) in the early 90's. The machine was tipped over into dirt and has 2 handles broken and missing. The electrical box that houses the on/off button is also busted. It's a bummer but the rest of the machine looks tight and ready to go. I didn't do it............. Power Requirements - 460/60/3PH VAC Operating Condition rated at 95% from new. Taken out of current service. The man that ran the department said it saw less than 200 hrs use before they quit threading their own pipe. Appearance rated at 90 % from new. Pretty clean unit - when Teledyne Landis rebuilt this unit they must have gone over it pretty thoroughly and repainted. Item is located @ 508 E. Frank St. Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
