This ART DECO BAR CIRCA 1930-1940, was CUSTOM DESIGNed BY THE HARRY L. HUSSMANN COMPANY OF EL PASO, TEXAS, FOR THE LEGENDARY LIQUOR STORE MAGNATE AND PHILANTHROPIST, TOM “PINKIE” RODEN.
PINKIE HAD THE BAR CUSTOM BUILT FOR HIS FIRST LOCATION OF THE “GOLDEN ROOSTER” PRIVATE CLUB IN THE BOOMING OIL FIELD TOWN OF ODESSA, TEXAS. THE CLUB WAS LATER MOVED TO THE ‘INN OF THE GOLDEN WEST’ IN EARLY 1070. THE BAR REMAINED AT THE ORIGINAL LOCATION AND WAS IN USE UNTIL 2002.
THE BAR IS APPROXIMATELY 40 FEET IN LENGTH, AND DISMANTLES INTO 3 PARTS. THERE IS ALSO A LIGHTED GLASS AND MIRROR SHOWCASE BEHING THE BAR, WHICH DISMANTLES INTO 3 PIECES. THE TOP SURFACES ARE COVERED WITH FORMICA AND THE OTHER AREAS HAVE MAHOGONY PANELING SURFACE. There are 10 wooden door storage cabinets under the lighted showcase, a 4 door cold storage box and two beer tap dispensers behind the regular bar.
There is an antique NCR cash registure (serial #2469791 110 volt) it is a series 900 and has a plate on the front with 842b-xx. the registure was at the original Golden Rooster Club.
