It would do the same on a counter, wagon or cart. This base is especially heavy duty for these units. This same base is used for the Pralinator (Frosted Nut machine). There is also a wonderful bright yellow CARAMEL CORN base #2031CC which also has a place for a #2166 Cooling Pan (see that under ACCESSORIES in the store categories).
